A typical Fritschi product at just 280 g

Innovative solutions to combine the high standards of safety, power transmission and comfort at just 280 g per unit.

The light weight, the easy step-in and the practical operation make the Xenic an exceptionally agile binding for ski tours in any terrain. When skiing downhill, length compensation of 10 mm for the flexing ski ensures a reliable release according to the settings. The innovative frontal unit provides a secure hold in front and with the exceptionally broad heel support in the back the skis are easy to control.

IT’S IN THE DETAILS

Easy Step-in
Fixed stop and broad pedal for the step-in

Comfortable use

Using the climbing aid as a lever the Xenic 10 can very easily be changed from the downhill to the uphill position with just half a turn of the heel. The stopper locks automatically on the first step.

The walk-mode levels of 2° and 11° and the climbing aid, which is controllable with the pole, provide absolute ergonomic comfort in climbing uphill.

Secure hold
The pin levers of the innovative frontal unit shift horizontally and thus absorb vertically acting forces. An unintended release caused by shocks from the bottom is prevented without the need to block the system while skiing downhill.

Defined release

The elasticity of 10 mm for the ski via length compensation applies constant pressure to the system, even when the skis are considerably flexed. This ensures a reliable release based on the settings in any situation.

Release lever

When the heel is released the boot tips forward. Only the bindings from Fritschi will then also re-lease the boot in the frontal unit at the right time, between an angle of approx. 65° to 75°, depending on the form of the boot’s front.

Individual adjustment

A frontal release is subject to significantly higher forces than a lateral release. To function properly, separate mechanisms are required with appropriately designed, infinitely adjustable springs.

No conflict – light weight and direct power transmission

Power transmission
Today’s touring skis and boots allow a considerably more dynamic style of skiing. The compact and stable Xenic 10 scores with its excellent power transmission. The support of the system is exceptionally broad in the heel area and designed to transmit the power directly to the skis.
